Analysis of the household/family types in Lalor in 2021 compared to Bundoora shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 34.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 14.0% were one-parent families, compared with 31.0% and 10.4% respectively for Bundoora.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 20.6% compared to 24.1% in Bundoora while the proportion of couples without children was 21.9% compared to 23.8% in Bundoora.
