Analysis of the household/family types of non-English speakers in the City of Whitehorse in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Whitehorse shows that there was a higher proportion of non-English speakers in couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion in one-parent families. Overall, 53.8% of non-English speakers were in couple families with child(ren), and 10.3% were one-parent families, compared with 51.0% and 10.1% respectively for the total population in the City of Whitehorse.
