Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Vermont South in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (340 males or 12.1%)
  • Construction (318 males or 11.3%)
  • Retail Trade (255 males or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 913 males in total or 32.4% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Whitehorse employed 13.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 11.0% in Construction; and 9.0% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Vermont South and the City of Whitehorse were:
