Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Vermont in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (574 females or 23.8%)
  • Education and Training (390 females or 16.2%)
  • Retail Trade (235 females or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,199 females in total or 49.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Forest Hill employed 22.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.3% in Education and Training; and 12.4% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Vermont and Forest Hill were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (16.2% compared to 14.3%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (23.8% compared to 22.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in retail trade (9.8% compared to 12.4%)
