In 2021, there were more females working as professionals in the City of West Torrens than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of West Torrens in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (4,850 people or 30.1%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (3,137 people or 19.5%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (3,069 people or 19.0%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 11,056 people in total or 68.6% of the employed resident population.
