Dominant groups
Analysis of the language spoken at home by people aged 18 to 24 years in the City of West Torrens in 2021 compared to Greater Adelaide shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who spoke English only, and a larger proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).
Overall, 67.6% of people aged 18 to 24 years spoke English only, and 29.3% of% spoke a non-English language, compared with 74.1% and 22.0% respectively for Greater Adelaide.
