Dominant groups

The size of the City of West Torrens's labour force aged 18 to 24 years in 2021 was 4,812 persons, of which 2,626 were employed part-time and 1,543 were full time workers.

Analysis of the employment status of people aged 18 to 24 years (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of West Torrens in 2021 compared to Greater Adelaide shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 92.0% of the labour force aged 18 to 24 years was employed and 8.0% unemployed, compared with 89.5% and 10.5% respectively for Greater Adelaide.
