Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Bondi Beach in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (809 females or 22.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (396 females or 11.0%)
  • Retail Trade (315 females or 8.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,520 females in total or 42.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Waverley Council area employed 19.2% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 15.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 7.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Bondi Beach and Waverley Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (22.4% compared to 19.2%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in information media and telecommunications (5.7% compared to 4.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (11.0% compared to 15.0%)
