Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in Waverley Local Government Area (LGA) compared to Bondi Ward shows that there was a higher proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.

The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Vaucluse and Bondi Ward were:
- A larger percentage of persons aged 85 and over (55.7% compared to 38.8%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (26.7% compared to 22.4%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 60 to 64 (6.9% compared to 3.0%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (8.7% compared to 15.4%)
