Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Cottesloe in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (9,148 people or 42.2%)
  • Managers (4,326 people or 20.0%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (2,131 people or 9.8%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 15,605 people in total or 72.1% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Mining and Pastoral Region employed 15.1% in Professionals; 10.8% in Managers; and 10.4% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Cottesloe and Mining and Pastoral Region were:
