Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Swan Hills in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (4,339 people or 18.0%)
  • Professionals (3,430 people or 14.2%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (3,285 people or 13.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 11,054 people in total or 45.8% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Pilbara employed 25.9% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 13.3% in Professionals; and 10.2% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
