Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Geraldton in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (3,009 people or 17.0%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (3,002 people or 16.9%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (2,399 people or 13.5%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 8,410 people in total or 47.4% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Burns Beach employed 19.1% in Professionals; 17.0% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 13.1% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Geraldton and Burns Beach were:
