Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Baldivis in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (2,635 people or 11.9%)
- Construction (2,429 people or 10.9%)
- Retail Trade (2,318 people or 10.4%)
In combination, these three industries employed 7,382 people in total or 33.2% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Bassendean employed 12.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.0% in Construction; and 10.1% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Baldivis and Bassendean were:
