Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Burns Beach in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,461 people or 14.1%)
  • Construction (3,077 people or 12.5%)
  • Retail Trade (2,394 people or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 8,932 people in total or 36.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Southern River employed 13.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.3% in Construction; and 10.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Burns Beach and Southern River were:
