Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Landsdale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,476 people or 13.4%)
  • Retail Trade (2,752 people or 10.6%)
  • Construction (2,739 people or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 8,967 people in total or 34.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Mount Lawley employed 14.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.5% in Retail Trade; and 7.1% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Landsdale and Mount Lawley were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (10.6% compared to 7.1%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in retail trade (10.6% compared to 8.5%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (5.6% compared to 3.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (6.7% compared to 11.8%)
