Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Landsdale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (3,476 people or 13.4%)
- Retail Trade (2,752 people or 10.6%)
- Construction (2,739 people or 10.6%)
In combination, these three industries employed 8,967 people in total or 34.6% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Mount Lawley employed 14.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.5% in Retail Trade; and 7.1% in Construction.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Landsdale and Mount Lawley were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (10.6% compared to 7.1%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in retail trade (10.6% compared to 8.5%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (5.6% compared to 3.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (6.7% compared to 11.8%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed people in Landsdale increased by 7,518 between 2011 and 2021.
The largest changes in the jobs held by the resident population between 2011 and 2021 in Landsdale were for those employed in:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+1,689 persons)
- Education and Training (+823 persons)
- Mining (+630 persons)
- Retail Trade (+594 persons)
