Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Collie-Preston in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,490 people or 12.2%)
  • Construction (2,146 people or 10.5%)
  • Mining (2,111 people or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,747 people in total or 33.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional WA employed 11.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.5% in Construction; and 11.3% in Mining.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Collie-Preston and Regional WA were:
