Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Victoria Park in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,781 females or 22.4%)
  • Education and Training (1,475 females or 11.9%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (1,188 females or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,444 females in total or 43.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Regional WA employed 20.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.5% in Education and Training; and 9.1% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Victoria Park and Regional WA were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (8.9% compared to 3.4%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (0.3% compared to 5.7%)
