Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Forrestfield in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,462 people or 11.8%)
  • Construction (1,976 people or 9.4%)
  • Retail Trade (1,943 people or 9.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,381 people in total or 30.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Cockburn employed 13.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.7% in Construction; and 9.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Forrestfield and Cockburn were:
