Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Victoria Park in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (3,665 people or 13.8%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (2,709 people or 10.2%)
- Accommodation and Food Services (2,384 people or 9.0%)
In combination, these three industries employed 8,758 people in total or 32.9% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Bicton employed 15.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 5.9% in Accommodation and Food Services.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Victoria Park and Bicton were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in accommodation and food services (9.0% compared to 5.9%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in administrative and support services (4.2% compared to 2.1%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in education and training (8.5% compared to 12.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in health care and social assistance (13.8% compared to 15.5%)

The largest changes in the jobs held by the resident population between 2016 and 2021 in Victoria Park were for those employed in:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+1,107 persons)
- Mining (+677 persons)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (+651 persons)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (+362 persons)
