Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Warren-Blackwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (3,003 people or 15.2%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (2,006 people or 10.1%)
- Accommodation and Food Services (1,768 people or 8.9%)
In combination, these three industries employed 6,777 people in total or 34.3% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Bassendean employed 0.4% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 13.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 6.4% in Accommodation and Food Services.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Warren-Blackwood and Bassendean were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (15.2% compared to 0.4%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in health care and social assistance (10.1% compared to 13.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (3.5% compared to 6.5%)

The largest changes in the jobs held by the resident population between 2016 and 2021 in Warren-Blackwood were for those employed in:
- Mining (+504 persons)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+405 persons)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (+300 persons)
- Accommodation and Food Services (+273 persons)
