Dominant groups
Analysis of the share of the population attending educational institutions in the Regional District in 2021 compared to Butler shows that there was a lower proportion attending primary school, a lower proportion attending secondary school, and a lower proportion engaged in tertiary level education.
Overall, 8.1% of the population were attending primary school, 6.1% of the population were attending secondary institutions, and 3.6% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 10.7%, 7.5% and 5.9% respectively for Butler.
The major differences between the share of the population attending learning institutions in the Regional District and Butler were:
- A larger percentage of persons not attending (70.1% compared to 67.4%)
- A smaller percentage of persons attending a primary school (any type) (8.1% compared to 10.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons attending a Government primary school (5.8% compared to 7.6%)
- A smaller percentage of persons attending University (1.6% compared to 3.3%)
