Dominant groups

In 2021, there were 16,535 separate houses in the area, 4,616 medium density dwellings, and 737 high density dwellings.

Analysis of the types of dwellings in Mandurah in 2021 shows that 74.9% of all dwellings were separate houses; 20.9% were medium density dwellings, and 3.3% were in high density dwellings, compared with 80.3%, 17.1%, and 2.4% in the Willagee respectively.

In 2021, a total of 86.5% of the dwellings in Mandurah were occupied on Census night, compared to 92.7% in Willagee. The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 13.4%, which is larger compared to that found in Willagee (7.1%).
