Dominant groups

In 2021, there were 11,105 separate houses in the area, 4,398 medium density dwellings, and 4,026 high density dwellings.

Analysis of the types of dwellings in Cottesloe in 2021 shows that 56.8% of all dwellings were separate houses; 22.5% were medium density dwellings, and 20.6% were in high density dwellings, compared with 77.8%, 19.7%, and 1.3% in the Bunbury respectively.

In 2021, a total of 88.7% of the dwellings in Cottesloe were occupied on Census night, compared to 90.1% in Bunbury. The proportion of unoccupied dwellings was 11.2%, which is larger compared to that found in Bunbury (9.7%).
