Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Midland in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- English (18,170 people or 38.7%)
- Australian (15,346 people or 32.7%)
- Scottish (4,078 people or 8.7%)
- Irish (3,936 people or 8.4%)
- Italian (2,783 people or 5.9%)
