Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Nedlands in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- English (16,946 people or 36.3%)
- Australian (12,481 people or 26.7%)
- Irish (5,412 people or 11.6%)
- Chinese (5,004 people or 10.7%)
- Scottish (4,945 people or 10.6%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 44,788 responses in total, or 95.94% of all responses.
The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Nedlands and North West Central were:
