Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Hocking in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (448 females or 24.4%)
  • Education and Training (285 females or 15.5%)
  • Retail Trade (220 females or 12.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 953 females in total or 52.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Carramar employed 24.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.6% in Education and Training; and 12.1% in Retail Trade.

The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of Hocking and Carramar was:

  • A smaller percentage of females employed in other services (4.4% compared to 5.8%)
