Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the City of Wanneroo compared to Marangaroo shows that there was a lower proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 3.1% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 6.6% for Marangaroo.
The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Alkimos and Marangaroo were:
- A larger percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (60.0% compared to 31.0%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 85 and over (82.4% compared to 53.6%)
- A larger percentage of persons aged 70 to 74 (15.5% compared to 12.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons aged 60 to 64 (6.2% compared to 8.9%)
