Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Moyhu and King Valley in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (276 people or 27.8%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (113 people or 11.4%)
- Manufacturing (98 people or 9.9%)
In combination, these three industries employed 487 people in total or 49.0% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Wangaratta (Central - East) employed 2.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 24.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.3% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Moyhu and King Valley and Wangaratta (Central - East) were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (27.8% compared to 2.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in health care and social assistance (11.4% compared to 24.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in retail trade (3.9% compared to 10.0%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed in accommodation and food services (6.2% compared to 8.7%)

The number of employed people in Moyhu and King Valley increased by 57 between 2016 and 2021.
