Dominant groups
Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Rural West in 2021 compared to Wagga Wagga City shows that 89.5% of the households owned at least one car, while 2.1% did not, compared with 88.6% and 5.9% respectively in Wagga Wagga City.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a similar proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 17.6% of the households owned one car; 36.5% owned two cars; and 35.4% owned three cars or more, compared with 33.3%; 36.2% and 19.1% respectively for Wagga Wagga City.
