Analysis of the housing tenure of recent arrivals in Tweed Shire Council in 2021 compared to Regional NSW shows that there was a larger proportion of recent arrivals in households who owned their dwelling; a larger proportion purchasing their dwelling; and a smaller proportion who were renters.
Overall, 16.5% of recent arrivals were in households who owned their dwelling; 26.0% were purchasing, and 53.6% were renting, compared with 8.2%, 17.9% and 70.5% respectively for Regional NSW.
