Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Pimlico in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (230 people or 19.8%)
  • Retail Trade (107 people or 9.2%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (106 people or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 443 people in total or 38.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the Central Business District employed 16.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.1% in Retail Trade; and 17.7% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Pimlico and the Central Business District were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in health care and social assistance (19.8% compared to 16.5%)
