Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Emerging Community North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,544 people or 16.7%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (2,458 people or 16.1%)
  • Retail Trade (1,385 people or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 6,387 people in total or 41.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Thuringowa Central employed 16.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.9% in Public Administration and Safety; and 12.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Emerging Community North and Thuringowa Central were:
