Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Kirwan and Upper Ross in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (3,492 people or 17.5%)
- Retail Trade (2,199 people or 11.0%)
- Public Administration and Safety (2,139 people or 10.7%)

In comparison, Heatley employed 16.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.8% in Retail Trade; and 8.7% in Public Administration and Safety.
