Family blending

In 2021, Division 8 had 15.1% of couple families with children in step families and 6.1% in blended families.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the family blending in Division 8 in 2021 compared to Cosgrove - Mount Louisa shows that there was a higher proportion of step families as well as a higher proportion of blended families. Overall, 15.1% of total couple families with children were step families, and 6.1% were blended families, compared with 13.5% and 4.4% respectively for Cosgrove - Mount Louisa.

There were a similar proportion of other families and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of other families was 0.7% compared to 0.6% in Cosgrove - Mount Louisa while the proportion of intact families was 78.0% compared to 81.4% in Cosgrove - Mount Louisa.
