Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Goombungee and District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (344 people or 25.3%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (126 people or 9.3%)
  • Construction (119 people or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 589 people in total or 43.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Middle Ridge employed 2.8% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 22.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 6.3% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Goombungee and District and Middle Ridge were:
