Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Manilla and District in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (151 males or 23.2%)
  • Managers (136 males or 20.9%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (132 males or 20.3%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 419 males in total or 64.5% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Hills Plain employed 22.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 20.0% in Managers; and 10.8% in Machinery Operators And Drivers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Manilla and District and Hills Plain were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (20.3% compared to 10.8%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Labourers (18.0% compared to 8.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed as Professionals (5.2% compared to 18.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed as Sales Workers (3.4% compared to 7.3%)
