Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Hillvue in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (258 males or 15.8%)
  • Manufacturing (202 males or 12.4%)
  • Retail Trade (149 males or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 609 males in total or 37.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Tamworth Regional Council employed 14.0% in Construction; 12.0% in Manufacturing; and 8.2% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Hillvue and Tamworth Regional Council were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (15.8% compared to 14.0%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (8.4% compared to 7.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (2.8% compared to 8.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in mining (1.0% compared to 2.3%)

The number of employed males in Hillvue increased by 55 between 2016 and 2021.

The largest changes in the jobs held by the male resident population between 2016 and 2021 in Hillvue were for those employed in:
