Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Calala (urban) in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (166 males or 16.7%)
- Retail Trade (107 males or 10.8%)
- Manufacturing (91 males or 9.2%)
In combination, these three industries employed 364 males in total or 36.7% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, West Tamworth (Coledale) employed 10.1% in Construction; 11.2% in Retail Trade; and 18.4% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Calala (urban) and West Tamworth (Coledale) were:
- A larger percentage of males employed in construction (16.7% compared to 10.1%)
- A larger percentage of males employed in public administration and safety (8.5% compared to 2.7%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed in manufacturing (9.2% compared to 18.4%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed in administrative and support services (2.7% compared to 7.4%)
