Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Calala (urban) in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (166 males or 16.7%)
  • Retail Trade (107 males or 10.8%)
  • Manufacturing (91 males or 9.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 364 males in total or 36.7% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, West Tamworth (Coledale) employed 10.1% in Construction; 11.2% in Retail Trade; and 18.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Calala (urban) and West Tamworth (Coledale) were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (16.7% compared to 10.1%)
