Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Western Rural in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (273 males or 33.1%)
  • Construction (104 males or 12.6%)
  • Manufacturing (68 males or 8.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 445 males in total or 53.9% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, West Tamworth (Central) employed 2.9% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 11.7% in Construction; and 21.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Western Rural and West Tamworth (Central) were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (33.1% compared to 2.9%)
