Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Western Rural in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (138 females or 18.2%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (115 females or 15.2%)
  • Education and Training (104 females or 13.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 357 females in total or 47.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, South Tamworth employed 27.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 0.7% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 10.5% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Western Rural and South Tamworth were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (15.2% compared to 0.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (18.2% compared to 27.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in accommodation and food services (5.4% compared to 11.7%)
