Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Tamworth Urban Area in 2021 compared to New South Wales shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 22.2% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 17.2% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 19.0% and 16.6% respectively for New South Wales.
