Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of the City of Sydney in 2021 compared to Redfern Street Village Area shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 7.4% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 9.3% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 6.6% and 10.2% respectively for Redfern Street Village Area.

The major differences between the male age structure of the City of Sydney and Redfern Street Village Area were:
