Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Whiteman in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,872 people or 15.9%)
  • Retail Trade (1,156 people or 9.8%)
  • Construction (966 people or 8.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,994 people in total or 33.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Western Australia employed 13.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.8% in Retail Trade; and 8.8% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Whiteman and Western Australia were:
