Analysis of the housing tenure of households of Sutherland Shire in 2021 compared to Bundeena - Maianbar shows that there was a smaller proportion of households who owned their dwelling; a larger proportion purchasing their dwelling; and a larger proportion who were renters.

Overall, 35.6% of households owned their dwelling; 37.8% were purchasing, and 21.8% were renting, compared with 43.1%, 35.2% and 16.8% respectively for Bundeena - Maianbar.
