Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Illawong in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (1,017 people or 27.4%)
  • Managers (656 people or 17.6%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (596 people or 16.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,269 people in total or 61.0% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Sutherland Shire employed 26.3% in Professionals; 17.1% in Managers; and 15.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Illawong and Sutherland Shire were:
