Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Sutherland in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (1,100 females or 34.3%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (704 females or 21.9%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (483 females or 15.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,287 females in total or 71.3% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Sutherland Shire employed 31.0% in Professionals; 24.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 13.7% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Sutherland and Sutherland Shire were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (34.3% compared to 31.0%)
