Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Ward A in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (3,017 people or 12.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,809 people or 12.0%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (2,335 people or 9.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 8,161 people in total or 34.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Sutherland Shire employed 11.3% in Construction; 12.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Ward A and Sutherland Shire were:
