Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Sylvania Waters in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (175 people or 11.7%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (174 people or 11.6%)
- Retail Trade (147 people or 9.8%)
In combination, these three industries employed 496 people in total or 33.0% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Menai - Sandy Point employed 9.9% in Construction; 12.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.2% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Sylvania Waters and Menai - Sandy Point were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in rental, hiring and real estate services (4.5% compared to 2.2%)
