Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Taren Point in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (60 males or 17.7%)
  • Retail Trade (34 males or 10.0%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (33 males or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 127 males in total or 37.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greenhills Beach employed 18.1% in Construction; 5.6% in Retail Trade; and 5.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Taren Point and Greenhills Beach were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in retail trade (10.0% compared to 5.6%)
