Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Illawong in 2021 compared to Dolans Bay - Port Hacking shows that 97.0% of the households owned at least one car, while 1.2% did not, compared with 96.3% and 1.6% respectively in Dolans Bay - Port Hacking.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a similar proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 17.3% of the households owned one car; 45.0% owned two cars; and 34.7% owned three cars or more, compared with 21.2%; 40.3% and 34.8% respectively for Dolans Bay - Port Hacking.
